A vibrant Mexican cantina on the fourth floor rooftop of the Hyatt’s Thompson Hotel, Arriba Abajo invites patrons to come for group experiences centered around drinking and dining. Inspired by the popular Mexican toast “Arriba, Abajo, al centro, pa’ dentro” — which translates to “Up, down, to the center, drink!”
From Oaxaca to the Yucatan, every experience is a journey between Mexico’s coasts. From raising a glass of something deliciously fresh to partying poolside with the Austin skyline in view — Arriba Abajo is the place that never misses a beat.

A barrel of monkeys. Custom wayfinding, funky window graphics curiously alluring neon signs draw passersby up to the fourth floor location.
A custom tile work mural within the pool waters was recreated and worked into the branding, paying hommage to Mexican workmanship, artistry and music.
